Peyton "Grier" Ivie, Owner/President
Licensed Funeral Director & Embalmer
Grier Ivie, son of Peyton G. & Edythe G. Ivie, joined the funeral home in 1972 and worked under his father until June 16, 1990 when Mr. Peyton Ivie passed away.
Grier is also licensed for cremations in NC. Grier and his wife, Patricia Harper Ivie live in Murphy and have four children, Rachel, John, Rebecca, Laura, and three grand-children, Jade & Harper Ivie and Ava Marie Arthur. |

Patricia "Pat" Harper Ivie, Owner/Vice President
Licensed Funeral Director & Embalmer
Pat Ivie was the first woman in the State of North Carolina to be recognized as a Licensed Funeral Director and Embalmer. Pat & Grier were married in 1974. Pat is active in the community serving on the boards of several local charities. Pat also works part time at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery in the Peachtree Area of Murphy, NC. |

John Peyton Ivie, Licensed Funeral Director & Embalmer
John Ivie, the grandson of Mr. Peyton Ivie and son of Grier & Pat Ivie began the third generation of Ivie Funeral Directors this year. John is a Licensed Funeral Director and Embalmer after graduating this year from Mortuary School in Fayetteville, NC. John is also licensed for cremations in NC. He lives in Murphy with his wife Kim and their two daughters, Jade & Harper. |

Stephanie
started working with Ivie Funeral Home as a secretary
in 1984 and has worked in many areas of funeral service. Stephanie received her funeral director’s license in 1995. She lives in Murphy with her husband
Edwin and her two step-children, Leslie and Blake. |

Ricky
started with the funeral home in 1996. Ricky is a licensed
funeral director and embalmer in the state of North Carolina as well
as in the state of Georgia. Ricky has been in the funeral industry for
31 years. Ricky lives in Murphy with his wife of 34 years, Debra and they have two sons, Emery and
Aaron. Ricky is an award winning photographer. |

Rosemary
is the receptionist and has been with the Ivie Funeral Home since
1994. Rosemary is a native of Cherokee County and she is married to Hubert
and they have four daughters, Sharon, Gloria, Tina and Cindy. |

Mike
started with the Ivie Funeral Home in 2001 and is a licensed funeral director and embalmer in the state of North Carolina as well
as in the state of Florida. Mike brings 28 years of experience in the funeral business to Ivie Funeral Home. Mike's wife is Lisa Dunn-Evans and they have two children, Ian and Austen. Mike is very active in Little League Baseball. |

Crisp, Office Staff
Cleta
works in the office as a receptionist
and an assistant. She has been employed with Ivie Funeral Home since 2001.
Cleta lives in Murphy with her husband, Ben and their daughters, Haley and Ashley. |

Cantrell, Funeral Assistant
Larry is a minister and moved to the Murphy area from St. Petersburg, Florida.
He lives in Murphy with his wife, Susie Stone Cantrell. They have four children. Larry works
part-time assisting with funerals and visitations. |

has been assisting funerals at Ivie Funeral Home since 1998. John and his wife, Gerry moved to the area from southern NJ. They have five children and four grandchildren. John has worked in the funeral industry for 13 years. |

Kim Ivie, John Ivie's wife, has been publishing the Ivie Funeral Home Web Site and Online Guest Books since 2003. Kim graduated from the George Washington University in Washington, DC, and currently lives in Murphy with her husband, John Ivie and their two daughters, Sabina Jade and Harper Pearl Ivie. |
