E.D. “Cully” Culpepper, 76, of Hayesville died Monday (April 10, 2006) in a Clay County care facility. A native of Barbour County, AL, he had lived in Marietta, GA for several years before moving to Clay County in 1984. He was the son of the late Early D. and Eva Boland Culpepper. He was a veteran of the Korean War, serving in the US Army. He retired after 25 years with Lockheed in Marietta. Cully was of the Baptist faith. Surviving are his wife, Lou Jean Moore Culpepper; two daughters, Karen Willingham of the home and Katrina Owenby of Byron, GA; a son, Britt Culpepper of Georgia; a special great grandson, Caleb Bailey of the home; two sisters, Mary Dowdy of Eufula, AL and Kathryn Faircloth of Phoenix City, AL; a brother, Bill Culpepper of Rome, GA; and several grandchildren, great grandchildren, and nieces and nephews. A private memorial service will be held at a later date. Ivie Funeral Home, Hayesville in charge of all arrangements. Remember
