PALICE BEAVER
Palice Beaver, 87, of Andrews died Wednesday (April 12, 2006) in a Murphy hospital. A native of Macon County, she had lived in Cherokee County most of her life. She was the daughter of the late James and Nancy Lee Passmore. She was a homemaker and a member of the Valleytown Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by two grandchildren, Joseph Cody Mayberry and Ashlyn Raeann Matheson.
Surviving are her husband of 63 years, Gene Beaver; two daughters, Nancy Rathbone and husband, James of Marble and Pansy Phillips and husband, Carlos of Andrews; two sons, Kenneth Beaver and wife, Nadine and Jerry Beaver and wife, Elizabeth all of Marble; a sister, Sarah Barnes of Andrews; and eight grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, and three great great grandchildren.
Funeral services at 11:00 AM Saturday (April 15, 2006) in the Chapel of Ivie Funeral Home, Andrews with the Rev. Ron McClure officiating. Burial in Valleytown Cemetery. Pallbearers: David Patton, Gene Garrison, Michael Matheson, Bobby Stockton, Bobby Foster, and Jerry Lambert.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 Friday evening at the Ivie Funeral Home, Andrews.
The family requests memorials be made in memory of Palice Beaver to the Great Smoky Mountain National Park, 107 Park Headquarters, Gatlinburg, TN 37738.
