VIRGINIA MULKEY CRAIG

Virginia Mulkey Craig, 82, of Murphy died Saturday, April 29, 2006 in a Murphy medical center. A native and lifetime resident of Cherokee County, she was a daughter of the late John Bunyan and Ionia McDonald Mulkey and the wife of the late Winston Earl Craig who died March 17, 1975. She was a homemaker and was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star Chapter #10, and of the Murphy First Baptist Church.

Surviving are a son, H. Winston Craig of Murphy; a brother, Hubert B. Mulkey of Ellicott City, MD; a granddaughter, Virginia Ann Craig Robinson of Rome, GA.

Funeral services at 2:00 PM Tuesday (May 2) in the Chapel of the Ivie Funeral Home, Murphy with Rev. Robert Heard officiating. Burial in the Sunset Cemetery. Pallbearers: Terry Summerous, Charlie Hughes, and Harry Ingram.

The family will receive friends from 6-8 Monday evening at the Ivie Funeral Home, Murphy.
