EDMUND  H.  MOORE

Edmund H. Moore, 67, of Murphy died Wednesday (April 4, 2007) at his residence.  A native of Charleston, SC, he had been living in Murphy for the past 20 years. He was the son of Joseph Hartwell Moore of Charleston and the late Mary Ellen Still Moore.  He had served in the US Army.  He had been in the real estate and building industry for the past 20 years.  He was a member of the Providence Presbyterian Church.  Edmund loved the Lord, cherished his family, and was an avid golfer.
 
Surviving, in addition to his father, are his wife, Mary Moore; two daughters, Madison Marie Hartwell Moore of Murphy and Tamara Meyers and husband, Scott of Thousand Palms, CA; a step-son, Bernhard Phillip List of Raleigh, NC;  two brothers, Tommy Moore of Jacksonville, FL and Robert Moore of Bladenboro, NC; and three grandchildren.
 
Funeral services at 2:00 PM Saturday (April 7) in the Chapel of Ivie Funeral Home, Murphy with the Rev. Steve Jones officiating. Interment in the Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers:  Tom Major, Bobby Moore, Jr., Matt Meyers, Rick Ryan, Don Johnson, and Brian Stiles. Dave Johnson as honorary pallbearer.
 
The family will receive friends from 12-1:45 Saturday afternoon at the Ivie Funeral Home, Murphy prior to the services.
 
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made in memory of Edmund H. Moore to the Good Shepherd Home Health and Hospice Agency, PO Box 465, Hayesville, NC 28904 or the St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, Attn:  Memorial/Honor Program, 1 St. Jude Place Building, PO Box 1000 – Dept. 300, Memphis, TN 38148-0552.
