MARCILLE PALMER
 
Marcille Palmer, 85, of Murphy died Thursday (April 26, 2007) in Nashville, TN.  She was a native of Cherokee County, but had lived in Akron, OH before moving back to Cherokee County in the early 1970’s. She was the daughter of the late J.L.and Omie Tate Hall and the wife of the late J.D. Palmer, who died Jan. 14, 1993.  Marcille was a homemaker and was a member of the Mount Liberty Baptist Church.

Surviving are three daughters, Linda Carnell and husband, Bob of Greenbrier, TN, Judy Auch and husband, Gary of Williamstown, WV, and Phyllis Black and husband, Harold of Chapmanville, WV; eight grandchildren and seven great grandchildren; and two special caregivers, Rex and Janet Taylor.
 
Funeral services at 2:00 PM Tuesday (May 1) in the Chapel of the Ivie Funeral Home, Murphy with the Rev. Eddie Cook officiating.
 
The family will receive friends from 12-1:45 Tuesday afternoon at the Ivie Funeral Home, Murphy prior to the services.
 
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made in loving memory of Marcille Palmer to the Mount Liberty Baptist Church Cemetery Fund, 1700 Old Murphy Road, Murphy, NC 28906.
