DOUGLAS E. WERDEHOFF SR.

Douglas E. Werdehoff Sr., 80, of Lady Lakes, FL died Sunday (April 20, 2008) in a Murphy medical center. A native of Lake Orion, MI, he had lived in Florida for the past ten years. He was the son of the late Albert Bernard and Mable Louise Bentley Werdehoff and the husband of the late Viola May Barron Werdehoff, who died Jan. 23, 2008. He retired after 30 years with Ford Motor Company as a hi/lo driver. Douglas was a member of the Moose and Elks Lodge.
Surviving are two daughters, Alice M. Stanley of Murphy and Irene M. Balconi of Washington, MI; a son, Douglas E. Werdehoff Jr. of White Lake, MI; two sisters, Bernice Miller of Chelsea, MI and Mary Solemn of Traverse City, MI; and six grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at 1:00 PM Saturday (April 26) in the Milford Chapel of Lynch & Sons Funeral Home in Milford, MI with the Rev. James Kummer officiating. Interment was in Highland Cemetery in Highland, MI.
The family received friends from 12-1 Saturday afternoon at the Lynch & Sons Funeral Home prior to the services.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made in memory of Douglas E. Werdehoff Sr. to the American Heart Association, 3535 Pelham Road, Suite 101, Greenville, SC 29615.
