A native of Swain County, he had lived in Cherokee County most of his life. He was the son of the late Harley and Arizona Styles Stiles and the husband of the late Delores Stiles. He was a veteran of the Korean War serving in the United States Army. He was a retired carpenter and was of the Baptist faith. Surviving are a daughter, Sandra Lynn Stiles Tistinchcomb of Hendersonville, NC; a son, Cobern Stiles, Jr. of Asheville; two sisters, Hazel Hodge of Andrews and Betty Kagley and husband, Paul of Maryville, TN; and a brother, Eugene Stiles and wife, Sally of Andrews. No services are planned. Burial in the Valleytown Cemetery. Ivie Funeral Home, Andrews in charge of arrangements. Remember
