EDDIE  WAYNE  DAY


 

Eddie Wayne Day, 51, of the Nantahala Community, Topton died Wednesday (August 29, 2007).  He was a native of Macon County where he had lived most of his life.  He had worked as a lineman for the phone company and for Baker Manufacturing.  Eddie was a member of the Briartown Baptist Church.
 
He was the son of the late Orin Wayne Day and was also preceded in death by a son, Jeremy Edward Day.
 
Surviving are a daughter, Tamara Colvin and husband, Brandon of Robbinsville, NC;  his mother, Wilma Cross Day of Nantahala;  and two grandchildren, Michelle and Elijah Colvin.
 
Funeral services at 11:00 AM Saturday (Sept. 1) in the Briartown Baptist Church with the Revs. S.J. Waters and Lewis Welch officiating. Interment in the church cemetery. Pallbearers:  Sammy Holloway, Bobby Neal, Steve Cochran, John Wilson, Tristan Smith, and Will Stewart.
 
The family will receive friends from 7-9 Friday evening at the Ivie Funeral Home, Andrews where the body will be until placed in the church 30 minutes prior to the services.
