ERVAN  KISSELBURG

Ervan Kisselburg, 73, of Murphy died Saturday (Aug. 25, 2007) in a Chattanooga, TN hospital.  A native and lifetime resident of Cherokee County, he was the son of the late Vernon and Lona Lingerfelt Kisselburg.  He was a retired welder and had worked many large jobs including the Alaskan pipeline.  Ervan was of the Baptist faith and was a member of the Sweet Gum Masonic Lodge No. 542.  His hobbies included hunting, fishing, and building hot rods.
 
Surviving are his wife of 52 years, Carol Owens Kisselburg; a daughter, Susan Swafford and husband, John of Murphy;  three sons, Stephen Kisselburg and wife, Lisa of Blue Ridge, GA, and Wesley Kisselburg and Joseph Kisselburg and wife, Bobbijean all of Murphy;  and eight grandchildren and a great great granddaughter.
 
Funeral services at 1:00 PM Monday (Aug. 27) in the Chapel of Ivie Funeral Home, Murphy with Speaker Tom Owens officiating.
 
The family will receive friends from 12-12:50 Monday afternoon at the Ivie Funeral Home, Murphy prior to the services.
 
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made in memory of Ervan Kisselburg to the Shady Grove Baptist Church Cemetery Fund, c/o Wilma Shields, 115 Dairy Farm Road, Murphy, NC 28906 or the Murphy Medical Center Foundation, 4130 Highway 64 East, Murphy, NC 28906.
