SARAH CLEO BROWN HOOPER
 

Sarah Cleo Brown Hooper, 86, of Hayesville died Thursday (Aug. 23, 2007) at her residence.  A native of Union County, GA, she had lived most of her life in Clay County. She was the daughter of the late Henry F. and Collesta Thomason Brown and the wife of the late Albert Hooper, who died Feb. 28, 2000.  She worked for 22 years for Carolina Dress as an inspector and was always a homemaker.  She enjoyed gardening, cooking, and feeding her large family.  Cleo was a member of the Hayesville Church of God.
 
Surviving a daughter, Geraldine Ruis and husband, Johnny of Lula, GA;  four sons, Jackie Hooper and wife, Linda, Tommy Hooper and wife, Patricia, Reggie Hooper and wife, Glenda, and Michael Hooper and wife, Mary Ann all of Hayesville;  five sisters, Connie Galloway of Gastonia, NC, Frankie Dunaway of Rockmart, GA, Ellen Collins and husband, Gene and Ruby Sexton and husband, Everett all of Blairsville, GA, and Ethel Self and husband, Lawrence of Columbia, SC;  two brothers, Barney Brown and wife, Northie of Blairsville and Homer Brown and wife, Madeline of Dalton, GA;  and 11 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.
 
Funeral services at 11:00 AM Saturday (Aug. 25) in the Chapel of Ivie Funeral  Home, Hayesville with the Revs. Clark Moss and Mitchell Totherow officiating.  Interment in the Hayesville Baptist / Presbyterian Cemetery.  Pallbearers: Derek Ruis, Stuart Black, Phillip Cox, Curtis Denton, Jeff Beaver, and Calvin Collins.
 
The family will receive friends from 9-10:45 Saturday morning at the Ivie Funeral Home, Hayesville prior to the services.
 
The family requests memorials be made to the charity of your choice.
