TIMOTHY “TIM” ROGERS

Timothy “Tim” Rogers, 66, of Hayesville died Thursday, Aug. 13, 2009 at his residence. A native and lifetime resident of Clay County, Tim was a retired grader operator for the North Carolina Department of Transportation. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and spending time with his grandchildren.
Tim was the son of Willa Mae Freeman Rogers of Hayesville and the late Jake P. Rogers. He was also preceded in death by a granddaughter, Emma Caroline Silvers.
Surviving, in addition to his mother, are his wife of 40 years, Carolyn Regina Stillwell Rogers; two daughters, Amanda Eshelman and husband, Emory of Hayesville and Becky Silvers and Doug Crisp of Blairsville, GA; a son, Gary Rogers of Hayesville; a sister, Hilda Marr of Hayesville; three brothers, Zane Rogers, Jimmy Rogers, and Ricky Rogers all of Hayesville; and two grandchildren, Amber Eshelman and Joshua Silvers.
Funeral services were held at 1:00 PM Sunday, Aug. 16 in the Chapel of Ivie Funeral Home, Hayesville with the Rev. Aud Brown officiating. Interment was in the New Hope Baptist Cemetery. Pallbearers were Clint and Stacy Rogers, Robert, David, and Anthony Stillwell, and Randall Cantrell.
The family received friends from 6-8 Saturday evening at the Ivie Funeral Home, Hayesville.
