GARY HAL “Bug” BRYSON

Gary Hal “Bug” Bryson, 55, of Chattanooga, TN, formerly of Murphy, died Thursday (Dec. 4, 2003) at his residence. A native of Cherokee County, he had recently moved to Chattanooga. He was the son of Helen Hampton Bryson of Murphy and the late Joseph Hal Bryson. He was a 1969 graduate of Western Carolina University. He was working as a financial advisor with a Chattanooga bank. Gary was of the Baptist faith.

Surviving, in addition to his mother, are his wife, Pam Barclay Bryson; two daughters, Tacey Mack and husband, Steven of Asheville and Wendy Ivey and husband, Larry of Cleveland, TN; a son, Cory Bryson and wife, Heather of Cumming, GA; a sister, Sherry Bryson of Arden, NC; and nine grandchildren.

Funeral services at 3:00 PM Sunday (Dec. 7) in the Chapel of the Ivie Funeral Home, Murphy with the Rev. Larry Wilson officiating.

The family will receive friends from 1:00-2:45 Sunday afternoon at the Ivie Funeral Home, Murphy prior to the services. In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials be made to the American Heart Fund, No. 1 Heart Circle, Chapel Hill, NC 27514.
