JAMIE
MITCHELL ROGERS
Jamie Mitchell Rogers, 30, of Hayesville
went home to be with his Lord on Monday (Dec. 1, 2003).
A native and lifetime resident of Clay County, he was a
1991 graduate of Hayesville High School. He had worked
as a cabler for Advanced Digital Cable. Jamie was a faithful
and devoted member of the Mission Hill Baptist Church.
A loving son to his parents, Jimmy and Winifred “Inky” Hogsed Rogers
and a devoted brother to his sister, Tina Cantrell and husband, Randall of
Mineral Bluff, GA, and brothers, Stacy Rogers and wife, Paula of Murphy, and
Michael Rogers of the home. Surviving, in addition to his parents and siblings,
are the maternal grandmother, Genevieve Hogsed of Hayesville and the paternal
grandmother, Willa Mae Rogers of Hayesville.
Funeral services at 2:00 PM Thursday (Dec. 4) in the Mission Hill Baptist Church
with the Revs. Deron Shuler and David Anderson officiating. Burial in the Old
Shooting Creek Baptist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers: Clint and Gary Rogers,
Josh McConnell, Tommy Benefield, Jeremy Allison, and David Womble. Honorary
pallbearers: Jeremy Coffee and Michael Morgan.
The family will receive friends from 6-9 Wednesday evening in the Mission Hill
Baptist Church.
The family requests memorials be made to the Old Shooting Creek Baptist Church
Cemetery Fund, 951 Old Highway 64 East, Hayesville, NC 28904.
