Ronald Alan
Rogers, 52, of Murphy died Wednesday (Dec. 17, 2003) in an
Asheville hospital. He was a native of Cherokee County, where
he had lived most of his life. He was the son of Bertha Ponder
Rogers of Murphy and the late Aud Rogers. He had worked in
the carpet mill and for Howell’s Market for several years.
Ronnie was of the Baptist faith.
Surviving, in addition to his mother, are a daughter, Pamela Rogers Holland of
Rossville, GA; two brothers, Tommy R. Rogers of Marble and Charles Edward Rogers
of Murphy; and two grandchildren.
Funeral services at 4:00 PM Sunday (Dec. 21) in the Chapel of Ivie Funeral Home,
Murphy with the Rev. Wayne Marcus officiating. Burial in Ebenezer Baptist Church
Cemetery in Union County, GA. T
he family will receive friends from 6-8 Saturday evening at the Ivie Funeral
Home, Murphy.
