Ivie Funeral Home WOODROW JAMES BROWN

Woodrow James Brown, 91, of Murphy died Tuesday (Dec. 9, 2003) in a Murphy care facility. A native and lifelong resident of Cherokee County, he was the son of the late John and Ella Thompson Brown and the husband of the late Stella Dillard Brown, who died May 23, 1989. He retired from the Dalton Carpet Mill after working for over 30 years. Woodrow attended Sunny Point Baptist Church.

Surviving are several loving nieces and nephews and very devoted friends, Pete and Bonnie Johnson.

Funeral services at 11:00 AM Friday (Dec. 12) in the Sunny Point Baptist Church with the Revs. Allen Harris and Kenneth Payne officiating. Burial in Ledford Cemetery. Pallbearers: Josh and Scott Harris, Charles Forrister, Johnny and David Burrell, and Roger Stiles.

The family will receive friends from 6-8 Thursday evening at the Ivie Funeral Home, Murphy.
