HORACE J. DAILEY
Horace J. Dailey, 88, of Hayesville died Saturday, December 18, 2004 in a Gwinnett County, GA medical center. A native and lifelong resident of Clay County, he was the son of the late Mitchell Blaine and Lizzie Stamey Dailey and the husband of the late Glenna Sherlin Dailey, who died February 14, 1990. He was a retired farmer and a member of the Woods Grove Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Henry James Dailey; a sister, Hazel Marshall; and a half-sister, Sally Shelton.
Surviving are a daughter, Deborah Kelsey and husband, John of Suwanee, GA; two half-sisters, Betty White of Cornelia, GA and Jay Nell Patton of Hayesville; three half-brothers, Bill Dailey of Baldwin, GA, Jack Dailey of Hayesville, and Lee Dailey of Hiawassee, GA; two grandchildren, Denise Ives and Chris McConnell; and five great grandchildren.
Funeral services at 11:00 AM Tuesday (Dec. 21) in the Chapel of the Ivie Funeral Home, Hayesville with Revs. Jimmy Rogers and Richard Roberson officiating. Interment in the Woods Grove Baptist Church Cemetery. Nephews as pallbearers.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 Monday evening at the Ivie Funeral Home, Hayesville.
