RALPH W. ADAMS

Ralph W. Adams, 84, of Marble died Tuesday (Dec. 21, 2004) at his residence. He was a native of Cherokee County, where he had lived most of his life. He was the son of the late Earl Weldon and Daisy Lunsford Adams and the husband of the late Hazel Lovingood Adams, who died May 19, 2003. He was a veteran of WWII, serving in the US Army. He was retired from the NC Department of Transportation and was a member of the Vengeance Creek Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by a daughter, Carolyn Jean Panther; a sister, Lorene Moore; and a brother, Jack Adams.

Surviving are two sons, Michael Adams of Murphy and Timothy Ray Adams of Moscow; a sister, Lela Mae Roberts of Clinton, TN; and six grandchildren and several great grandchildren.

Funeral services at 2:00 PM Thursday (Dec. 23) in the Chapel of Ivie Funeral Home, Murphy with the Rev. Fred Lunsford officiating. Burial in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends from 12-1:45 Thursday afternoon at the Ivie Funeral Home, Murphy prior to the services.
