Ivie Funeral Home R. L. CLARK

R.L. Clark, 77, of Andrews died Tuesday (Nov. 30) unexpectedly at his residence. A native and lifelong resident of Cherokee County, he was the son of the late Grady Henry and Laura Ledford Clark and the husband of the late Bertha Hodge Clark, who died in 1989. He retired after 23 years with Baker Furniture. R.L. was a member of the Faith Baptist Tabernacle. His hobbies included hunting and fishing.

He was preceded in death by two sisters, Frances Robertson and Gladys Postell.

Surviving are a sister, Odell Brendle of Kings Mountain, NC; three brothers, Hubert and Vernell Clark both of Andrews, and Ray Clark of Gastonia, NC; and several nieces and nephews.

Graveside services at 2:00 PM Sunday (Dec. 5) in the Valleytown Cemetery with Rev. Roy Phillips officiating. Pallbearers: Leroy Truett, Lloyd West, Charlie Morgan, Jerry and Jeff Clark, and Shorty Pack.

The family will receive friends at the Valley River Baptist Church fellowship hall following the service.
