ANNIE SUE RHODES
Annie Sue Rhodes, 59, of Marble died Saturday (December 31, 2005) in a Murphy medical center. A native of Rowan County, NC, she had lived in Cherokee County most of her life. She was a daughter of Tina Rhodes Pendergrass of Marble. She had worked for I.O.I. for the past eight years and was a member of the Sunnyside Baptist Church.
Surviving in addition to the mother are her daughter, Mary Lackey and her boyfriend, Brad Rogers of Marble; a son, David Rhodes of Marble; two sisters, Teresa Pendergrass and her boyfriend, David Williams of Marble and Chessie McClellan of Andrews; two brothers, Martin Humphries of Fletcher, NC and Lon Pendergrass and his wife, Cindy of Blairsville, GA; two grandchildren, Christie Lackey and Carlos Guzman; and seven nieces, Jessica, John, Cody, Shane, Shawna, Renee, and Michael and three great nieces and nephews, Brittny, Jordan, and Michael Shane.
Funeral services at 2:00 PM Tuesday (Jan. 3, 2006) in the Chapel of Ivie Funeral Home, Murphy with Rev. Ronnie Palmer officiating. Burial in Moss Cemetery. Pallbearers: Shane Pendergrass, Carroll Ashe “Brother”, Mike Eller, John Pack, Cody Gibby, and Clarence Stewart. Honorary pallbearers: Dennis Ashe and Tommy Rogers.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 Monday evening at Ivie Funeral Home, Murphy.
