LEUNA ROGERS ADAMS

Leuna Rogers Adams, 77, of Marble died Tuesday (December 13, 2005) in an Asheville, NC hospital. She was a native and lifetime resident of Cherokee County. She retired in November of 1990 after 23 years of employment with American Thread. Leuna was a member of the Vengence Creek Baptist Church.

She was the daughter of the late Homer A. Rogers and the wife of the late Jack Adams, who died July 1, 1998. She was also preceded in death by a sister, Margie Creason and two brothers, Homer A. Rogers Jr. and Kyle Rogers.

Surviving are her mother, Lucy Queen Rogers of Marble; two sisters, Joyce McCuley and Doris Adams both of Marble; three brothers, Rev. Glenn Rogers and Kenneth Rogers both of Marble, and Jimmy Rogers of Andrews; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services at 2:00 PM Friday (Dec. 16) in the Chapel of Ivie Funeral Home, Murphy with the Revs. Donald Watkins and Glenn Rogers officiating. Burial in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers: James, Charles, and Josh Morgan, Jerry and Danny Moore, and Gary Rogers. Honorary pallbearers: Michael Adams, Claude Hembree, and Kenneth Higgins.

The family will receive friends from 6-8 Thursday evening at the Ivie Funeral Home, Murphy.
