She was a native of Andrews, where she had lived most of her life. She was the daughter of the late George Eston and Icie Griggs Bettis. She was a retired beautician and was a member of the Valleytown Baptist Church. Her hobbies included crocheting and crafts. Surviving are her son, Daryl Sutton and wife, Kelly of Anderson, SC; two brothers, J.B. Bettis and wife, Brenda of Andrews and Joe Bettis and wife, Pat of Murphy; and two nieces, Connie Bettis Clayton and Denise Bettis Palmer and one nephew, Steve Bettis. Funeral services at 11:00 AM Saturday (Dec. 17) in the Chapel of Ivie Funeral Home, Andrews with the Rev. Ron McClure officiating. Burial in the Moss Cemetery. Pallbearers: Steve Bettis, Burt Hughes, Bobby Clayton, David Young, and Fred West. Honorary pallbearers: Dennis Hughes and Wade Fox.
