BETSY HALL


Betsy Hall, 63, of Hayesville died Sunday (December 23, 2007) in a Murphy medical center. She was a native and lifetime resident of Clay County. She was the daughter of the late Gilbert and Pansy Scroggs Bradshaw. She was a 1962 graduate of Hayesville High School. She retired in November 2006 with over 20 years with the Clay County Court System. Betsy was a member of the Hayesville First United Methodist Church. She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her granddaughter, and her friends and classmates.


She was also preceded in death by an infant son, Ricky Hall; and a brother, Paul Judson Bradshaw.
 
Surviving are her husband of 40 years, Steve Hall;  a daughter, Stephanie Hall Lowe of Hayesville;  two sisters, Mary Kathryn West of Warne, and Sharon Edwards of Hiawassee, GA;  and a brother, James Bradshaw of Murphy;  and a granddaughter, Megan Elizabeth Lowe.
 
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday (Dec. 27) in the Chapel of the Ivie Funeral Home, Hayesville with Rev. Todd Chester and Dr, Chester Jones officiating. Interment in the Hayesville Baptist/Presbyterian Cemetery. Pallbearers:  Earl, Greg, and Michael Bradshaw, Dave and Gill West, and Jason Dyer.
 
The family will receive friends from 6-8 Wednesday evening at the Ivie Funeral Home, Hayesville.
 
The family requests memorials may be made in loving memory of Betsy Hall to the American Cancer Society, Hayesville Chapter, PO Box 1193, Hayesville, NC 28904-1193.
