JOHN NEIL DAVIDSON

John Neil Davidson, 24, of Brasstown passed away at his home on Thursday, December 13, 2007.
He attended Martins Creek School and was a graduate of Murphy High School. He was a gifted writer, actor, and singer who appeared in many Murphy High School drama productions. He was a member of the Stix in the Mud Morris Dance Team and toured England with them. He loved music and played the harmonica and drums. He maintained his good humor throughout the long struggle of his illness and was an inspiration to his friends and family.
Surviving are his parents, Jan and Nanette Buchen Davidson of Brasstown; a sister, Chloe Anne Davidson of the home; a brother, Samuel Ballard Davidson of the home; his girlfriend, Lisa Marie Bruno of Brasstown; his paternal grandfather, John A. Davidson of Murphy; his maternal grandmother, Nancy Anne Ballard of Monticello, GA; his maternal grandfather, Phillip Heller Buchen of Americus, GA; his maternal great grandmother, Jeanette Heller Buchen of Americus; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
All friends are invited to gather for a celebration of his life at 2:00 PM Sunday, December 16 in the Davidson Hall of the John C. Campbell Folk School.
The family requests memorials be made in memory of John Neil Davidson to the John C. Campbell Folk School, 1 Folk School Road, Brasstown, NC 28902 for a special memorial.
