LOUISE SPRUELL KILGORE


 

Louise Spruell Kilgore of Murphy died Thursday (Dec. 6, 2007) in a Murphy medical center.  A native of Carroll County, GA, she had moved to Murphy in 1955.  She was the daughter of the late Wayne Wesley and Roxie Taylor Spruell and the wife of the late Elmer Kilgore, who died June 27, 1985.  She and her husband founded and were former owners and operators of Kilgore Oil Company. She was a member of the Murphy Presbyterian Church.
 
Surviving are two nieces, Louise Spruell Hunt of Rome, GA and Kay Spruell Hudson of Douglasville, GA;  a nephew, Tommy Eric Spruell of Jacksonville, FL;  and several great nieces and nephews.
 
Graveside services at 1:00 PM Saturday (Dec. 8, 2007) in the Greenlawn Memorial Gardens with Rev. Bill Dyer officiating. Pallbearers:  Don Rusaw, Greg Davidson, Charles Stevens, Larry Turner, Mitchell Dyer, and Brian Penland.
