LEECY MARTIN



Leecy Martin, 84, of Hayesville died Monday (Feb. 6, 2006) at her residence. A native of Union County, GA, she had lived in this area all her life. She was the daughter of the late James Henry and Minnie Mae Stewart Chastain and the wife of the late Robert William Martin, who died Jan. 15, 2004. She was a homemaker and a member of the Martin Hill Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by a daugher, Anna Laura Patterson and a grandson, Laurance Cleveland Pritchett.

Surviving are three daughters, Fannie Mae Martin of Hayesville, Virginia Helen Land and husband, Harold of Hiawassee, GA, and Kay F. Mullins of Blairsville, GA; one son, Bobby William Martin and wife, Brenda of Green Bay, WI; three brothers, Don Chastain of Ellijay, GA, Claude Chastain of Dalton, GA, and Ralph Chastain of Atlanta, GA; six grandchildren, Eddie Pritchett, Judy Caldwell, Lisa Anderson, David and Darrin Mullins, and Ryan Martin; and eight great grandchildren and one great great grandson.

Funeral services at 11:00 AM Friday (Feb. 10, 2006) in the Chapel of the Ivie Funeral Home, Hayesville with the Revs. Paul Mayfield and Leonard Mayfield officiating. Burial in Martin Hill Baptist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers: Eddie and Tony Pritchett, David and Darrin Mullins, Jonathan Anderson, and Dickie Caldwell.

The family will receive friends from 6-8 Thursday evening at the Ivie Funeral Home, Hayeville.
