LUCILLE WEEKS



Lucille Weeks, 88, of Andrews died Tuesday (February 21, 2006) in an Andrews care facility. A native of Swain County, she had lived in Cherokee County most of her life. She was the daughter of the late Reuben W. and Laura Franklin Rector and the wife of the late Benjamin F. Weeks Jr., who died October 15, 1978. She retired after 35 years as a secretary and bookkeeper with Blevins Oil Company. She had been a member of the Andrews First Baptist Church for the past 76 years.

She was preceded in death by two brothers, Clyde and Bill Rector; and three sisters, Bonnie Blevins, Lillie Mae McKeldrey, and Dot Revis.

Surviving are a daughter, Laura Postell and husband, Terry of Andrews; two sons, Benjamin F. Weeks III and wife, Janice of Papillion, NE and Robert Weeks and wife, Maria of Norman, OK; and seven grandchildren, Cynthia Cutts, Candace Frey, Benjamin F. Weeks IV, Jennifer Postell, J.T. Postell, Jason Weeks, and Laura Weeks.

Funeral services at 2:00 PM Saturday (Feb. 25) in the Andrews First Baptist Church with Rev. Tommy Lamb officiating. Burial in Valleytown Cemetery. Pallbearers: Benjamin F. Weeks IV, J.T. Postell, Jason Weeks, Robert Revis, Matt Cutts, and Josh Frey.

The family will receive friends from 12-1:45 Saturday afternoon at the Andrews First Baptist Church prior to the services.
