WOODROW WILSON HUNTER
Woodrow Wilson Hunter, 92, of Hayesville died Thursday (Feb. 2, 2006) at his residence. A native of North Collins, NY, he was the son of the late Wilson and Hazel Davis Hunter and the husband of the late Gustina May Croll Hunter. He was a veteran of the US Army, serving as a Lieutenant Colonel in the European Theatre during WWII. He was a social gerontologist. Woodrow taught at Central Michigan and later taught at the University of Michigan for 24 years. After retirement, the Board of Regents conferred Professor Emeritus status to Mr. Hunter. He was a member of the Leland Community Church in Leland, MI.
Surviving are two daughters, Margaret Emerick of Vero Beach, FL and Sara Rodeck of Traverse City, MI.
Memorial services will be held at a later date.
