BESSIE  C.  HATCHETT
 

Bessie C. Hatchett, 94, of Murphy died Friday (Feb. 23, 2007) in a Murphy medical center.  A native and lifetime resident of Cherokee County, she was the daughter of the late Walter and Finetta Allen Graham and the wife of the late Baxter Hatchett, who died April 21, 1972.  She was a homemaker and was of the Baptist faith.
 
Surviving are four daughters, Ann Beavers of Blairsville, GA, Kathy Hatchett and Katy Hatchett both of Roswell, GA, and Sue Mitchell of Cumming, GA;  five sons, Gene Hatchett and Clifton Martin both of Murphy, Dale Hatchett of Roswell, GA, Woodrow Martin of Hampton, NC, and Monroe Martin of Lexington, NC; three sisters, Estal Coleman of Hickory, NC, Elza May Kernodle of Flint, MI, and Marylee Coleman of Maryville, TN;  and several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
 
Funeral services at 2:00 PM Monday (Feb. 26) in the Chapel of Ivie Funeral Home, Murphy with the Revs. Hoyt Brown and Cecil Coleman officiating. Interment in the Bellview United Methodist Church Cemetery.  Pallbearers:  Christopher Allen Chatham, David Charles Chatham, Dexter Ray Mitchell, Daniel Worley, David Worley, and Andy Deyton.  Honorary pallbearers:  Eddie and Steven Lynch.
 
The family will receive friends from 6-8 Sunday evening at the Ivie Funeral Home, Murphy.
