CAROLYN “Tootsie” DOCKERY

Carolyn “Tootsie” Dockery, 64, of Marble died Friday (Feb. 2, 2007) in a Chattanooga, TN hospital. A native and lifelong resident of Cherokee County, she was the daughter of the late Ralph and Ethel Hughes Lovingood. Carolyn was owner and operator of Mr. Burger for several years before working and retiring from Ingles as the deli manager. She was a member of the Tomotla Baptist Church.
Surviving are her husband of 48 years, Roy G. Dockery; two daughters, Patricia Brooks and husband, Steve of Clarkesville, GA and Teresa Welch of Murphy; a son, Kevin Dockery and wife, Erica of Murphy; a brother, James Lovingood of Salisbury, NC; and six grandchildren, Barrett Rogers, Brandon Rogers, Keisha Ware, Stephanie Brooks, Sarah Brooks, and Brittney Dockery.
Funeral services at 2:00 PM Sunday (Feb. 4) in the Chapel of Ivie Funeral Home, Murphy with the Revs. Harold Stiles and Jim Hall officiating. Burial in the Moss Cemetery. Pallbearers: Randy, Butch, and Heath Dockery, Richie McCoy, Dean Hass, and Matthew Hughes.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 Saturday evening at the Ivie Funeral Home, Murphy.
