MAE JOHNSON HUSKINS



Mae Johnson Huskins, 86, of Marble died Tuesday (Feb. 13, 2007) in a Murphy hospital.  A native and lifelong resident of Cherokee County, she was the daughter of the late Augustus  Harrison and Floy Rowland Johnson and the wife of the late Rance Vincent Huskins, who died Dec. 5, 2003.  Mae was of the Baptist faith.


Surviving are one daughter, Kathy Piercy and husband, John of Andrews;  four sons, Warren Huskins and Larry Huskins and wife, Cheryl both of Marble, Randall Huskins and wife, Donna of Sylva, and Keith Huskins and wife, Cathy of Andrews;  three sisters, Eula Huskins of Buford, GA, Ethel Wiggins of Marble, and Drama Poe of Murphy;  one brother, G.H. Johnson of Marble;  and ten grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren.  


Funeral services at 2:00 PM Thursday (Feb. 15, 2007) in the Chapel of Ivie Funeral Home, Murphy with Rev. Fred Lunsford officiating. Burial in the Huskins Family Cemetery.  Grandsons as pallbearers.
 
The family will receive friends from 6-9 Wednesday evening at the Ivie Funeral Home, Murphy.
 
The family requests memorials be made in memory of Mae Johnson Huskins to the Murphy Public Library, 9 Blumenthal Street, Murphy, NC 28906.
