RALPH EDWARD “EDDIE” ROBERTS

Ralph Edward “Eddie” Roberts, 44, of Theodore, AL, formerly of Farner, TN, died Tuesday (Feb. 6, 2007) in a Montgomery, AL hospital. He was a native of Polk County, TN where he was raised.  He was an employee of Teton / PCL Company.  He was of the Baptist faith.  He was a competitive sportsman and enjoyed hunting, fishing, golfing, and the outdoors.
 
He was the son of the late Ralph Roberts, who died in 1995.
 
Surviving are his wife, Jackie Jones Roberts;  his mother, Geneva McBrayer Roberts of Farner, TN; a sister, Barbara Gail Worsham of Detroit, MI; two brothers, Billy Joe Roberts of Northport, AL and Brett Joel Roberts of Jacksonville, FL;  and several nieces and nephews.
 
Funeral services at 2:00 PM Saturday (Feb. 10) in the Chapel of Ivie Funeral Home, Murphy with the Rev. Keith Raper officiating.  Interment in the Farner Presbyterian Cemetery. Pallbearers:  Chad Roberts, Bob Griffith, Robbie Luna, Paul Weaver, Brett Roberts, and Jim Watson.  Honorary pallbearers:  Friends and co-workers at Teton / PCL Company.
 
The family will receive friends from 6-8 Friday evening at the Ivie Funeral Home, Murphy.
 
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made in memory of Ralph Edward “Eddie” Roberts to the Shriner’s Crippled Children’s Hospital, WNC Shrine Club, PO Box 55, Murphy, NC 28906.
