GERALD HERBERT DICKS

 
Gerald Herbert Dicks, 65, of Warne died Saturday (Feb.2, 2008) in a Murphy medical center. A native of Newton, MA, he was the son of the late Herbert and Elizabeth Walters Dicks. Gerald was an engineer, having worked for Honeywell in Massachusetts.  He built swimming pools in Florida and worked for IOI and Aegis Power Systems here in Cherokee County.  He was of the Christian faith.  He enjoyed working with construction, traveling, and spending time with his family.


He was preceded in death by a brother, Stephen Dicks.
 
Surviving are his wife, Margo Malik Dicks, two sons, Gerald Herbert “Gary” Dicks of Ormond Beach, FL and Timothy Wayne Nicks of Kimberly, TX; two brothers, Peter Dicks of Marietta, GA and David Dicks of Gloster, RI; and three granddaughters, Elizabeth Paige Nicks,  Kimberly Nicks, and Ashley Dicks.
 
A private family memorial service will be held at a later date.
