Ivie Funeral Home JULIA  ALICE  TRUETT
 

Julia Alice Truett, 89, of Andrews died Thursday (Feb. 21, 2008) in a Murphy care center.  She was a native and lifetime resident of Cherokee County and was the daughter of the late Charles Winslow and Jeanette Derreberry Almond and was the wife of the late James Edward “Sid” Truett, who died Nov. 24, 1998. She was a homemaker and was of the Baptist faith.
 
Surviving are her son, Charles Eddie Truett and wife, Adrianne of Blairsville, GA;  three sisters, Mable Anderson of Robbinsville, NC, Ruthie Stemie of Clyde, NC, and Tommie Van Horn of Milledgeville, GA;  a brother, Fred Almond of Clyde;  a grandson, Charles Eddie Truett Jr.;  and two great granddaughters, Katie and Kelli Truett.
 
Funeral services at 11:00 AM Saturday (Feb. 23) in the Chapel of Ivie Funeral Home, Andrews with the Rev. Jeff Maynard officiating. Interment in Valleytown Cemetery. Pallbearers:  Justin, Donald Ray, and Eddie Ray Anderson, Odell Ballew, Fred Van Horn, and Charles E. Truett Jr.
 
The family will receive friends from 10-10:45 Saturday morning at the Ivie Funeral Home, Andrews prior to the services.
