NELLIE SUE PACE
 

Nellie Sue Pace, 76, of Murphy died Tuesday (February 5, 2008). A native and lifetime resident of Cherokee County, she was a daughter of Lillie Mae Thomas Robinson of Murphy and the late Frank G. Robinson and the wife of the late Frank D. Pace, who died August 25, 1994. Sue was a retired waitress and homemaker. She was of the Baptist faith. Her hobbies included working in her flower and vegetable gardens, mowing her lawn, and collecting Santa Claus’s.
 
She was also preceded in death by a brother, Hubert Eugene “Gene” Robinson; and an infant sister, Pauline.
 
Surviving, in addition to her mother, are two sisters, Frances Moran of China Grove, NC and Vicki Robinson of Murphy;  two nieces, Betty Little and husband, J.L. of Murphy and Donna Nance and husband, Rodney of China Grove; and a nephew, Gary Moran and wife, Mary of China Grove.
 
Funeral services at 2:00 PM Friday (Feb. 8) in the Chapel of the Ivie Funeral Home, Murphy with Rev. Emory Samples officiating. Interment in the Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers: Gary Moran, J.L. Little, Clifford Panter, Sonny Cole, Paul Farmer, and Billy Milsaps.  Honorary pallbearers: John and Gabriel Hembree, and Ralph Hughes.
 
The family will receive friends from 12:00-1:45 Friday afternoon at the Ivie Funeral Home, Murphy prior to the services.
 
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made in loving memory of Nellie Sue Pace to the Good Shepherd Hospice Agency, PO Box 465, Hayesville, NC 28904.
