MARY CAPELA

Mary Capela, 95, of Murphy died Monday, Feb. 2, 2009 in a Murphy medical center care facility. A native of Mercer County, OH, she had moved to Cherokee County in 1980. She was the daughter of the late John and Odelia Rauh Wannemcher and the wife of the late William Woodrow Capela, who died Sept. 3, 2002. She had been a second grade elementary school teacher in Conneaut, OH for 30 years before retiring in 1976. She was a member of the Saint William Catholic Church in Murphy.

Surviving are a niece, Mary T. Henikman of Ashland, OH; and two nephews, Rev. John R. Laudick of Toledo, OH and David L. Laudick of Ottawa, OH.

A memorial service was held at 11:00 AM Wednesday, Feb. 11 in the Saint William Catholic Church with Father John Laudick and Father George Kloster officiating.
