CARL BREEDLOVE, JR.
Carl Breedlove, Jr., 81, of Marble died Tuesday (Jan. 3, 2006) in an Andrews care facility. A native of Swain County, he had lived in Cherokee County most of his life. He was the son of the late George Carl and Pearl Martha DeHart Breedlove. He had worked with Berkshire Mills until it closed and later retired from the NC ABC Board. Carl was a member of Marble Springs Baptist Church.
Surviving are one son, Gary Breedlove of Candler, NC; two sisters, Lorene Druce of Jackson, GA and Lois Powell of Adel, GA; two brothers, Victor Breedlove of Marble and Paul Breedlove of Bryson City, NC; one grandson, Brian Breedlove; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services at 11:00 AM Friday (Jan. 6, 2006) in the Chapel of Ivie Funeral Home, Andrews with the Rev. Bernie Dixon officiating. Burial in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers: Leonard and Burke West, Gene Griggs, Howard Lovingood, Neil McKeon, and Roger Holloway. Honorary pallbearers: Tom McClure, Kenneth Trantham, Don Cook, and Roland Garrett.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 Thursday evening at the Ivie Funeral Home, Andrews.
