CONNIE HOLLOWAY
Connie Holloway, 88, of Andrews died Sunday (January 8, 2006) in a Murphy medical center. She was a native of Monroe County, TN, but had lived in Cherokee County most of her life. She was the daughter of the late Andrew and Nettie Bryson Evans and the wife of the late Jack G. Holloway. She was a homemaker and a member of the Red Marble Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by a son, James Holloway and two grandsons, Donnie and Bobby Holloway.
Surviving are two daughters, Betty Ledford and husband, Hardy of Andrews and Linda Holloway of the home; four sons, Danny, Sam, and Ricky Holloway of Andrews, and Jack Holloway of Robbinsville; and several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Funeral services at 2:00 PM Wednesday (Jan. 11) in the Red Marble Baptist Church with Revs. Mickey Stewart and France Postell officiating. Burial in the church cemetery. Pallbearers: Darrell, Garrell, and Sammy Holloway, and Willard, Harold, and Donnie Postell.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 Tuesday evening at the Ivie Funeral Home, Andrews where the body will be until placed in the church 30 minutes prior to the services.
The family requests memorials be made in loving memory of Connie Holloway to the Red Marble Baptist Church Cemetery Fund, c/o Martha Postell, 1201 Red Marble Road, Andrews, NC 28901.
