Sally Teel, 67, of Hayesville died Saturday (January 14, 2006) in a Murphy medical center. A native of Chester County, PA, she had lived most of her life in West Palm Beach, FL before moving to Clay County in 1998. She was the daughter of the late Joshua F. Love and Mildred Love Melrath and the wife of the late Richard A. Teel, Sr., who died in 1998. She had been an executive vice-president in banking, working with First State Bank from 1979 to 1989 and with Great Southern from 1989 to 1997. Sally was a member of the Ledford's Chapel United Methodist Church. She was also preceded in death by one son, Richard A. Teel, Jr. and a brother, Walter C. Love. Surviving are two sons, Gary Lee Teel and Jeffrey Scott Teel both of Hayesville; a sister, Flossi Prewitt of Oxford, PA, a brother, James F. Love of Nottingham, PA; and a granddaughter, Sarah Elaine Teel. Memorial services at 11:00 AM Saturday (January 21) in the Ledford's Chapel United Methodist Church with the Rev. Jackie Sellers officiating. Inurnment in the church cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to the American Lung Association of NC, 3801 Lake Boone Trail, Suite 190, Raleigh, NC 27607.
