CHARLES L. “CHUCK” STARKEY

Charles L. “Chuck” Starkey, 75, of Andrews died Sunday (Jan. 7, 2007) in a Murphy medical center. A native of Queen Annes County, MD, he had lived in Cherokee County for the past 12 years. He was the son of the late Albert and Alva Graham Starkey and was the husband of the late Mildred Louise Dyal Starkey, who died Nov. 1998. He was a retired caretaker for the DuPonts. He had been attending the Mountain View Baptist Church.


Surviving are two sons, Charles L. Starkey, Jr. and Robert L. Starkey both of Andrews;  two step-daughters, Sue Lequire of Andrews and Penny Shields of Anderson, SC;  two step-sons, Ted Drake of Andrews and John Ingalls of Beverly Hills, FL;  a brother, Donald Starkey of Sudlersville, MD; five grandchildren, Dustin, Dillon, Andrea, Rebecca, and Clay Starkey, and a great grandson, Frank Junior Starkey.
 
A private family memorial service will be held at a later date.
