IRENE MOSS

Irene Moss, 87, of Andrews died Friday (Jan. 12, 2007) in a Murphy hospital. A native and lifelong resident of Cherokee County, she was the daughter of the late John and Alice Nix Pendergrass and the wife of the late Floyd Moss, who died Oct. 8, 1977. Irene had worked for Peachtree Products and Owenby and Birkshire Manufacturing. She was a member of the Marble Springs Baptist Church.
Surviving are a daughter, Loretta Parker of Andrews; a son, John Henry Moss and wife, Doris of Tacoma, WA; three sisters, Katherine Trull, Clara Shields, and Nina Young all of Marble; two brothers, Don Pendergrass and Hal Pendergrass both of Marble; and 11 grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren, and three great great grandchildren.
Funeral services at 11:00 AM Tuesday (January 16) in the Marble Springs Baptist Church with Rev. Lewis Welch officiating. Interment in the Moss Cemetery. Pallbearers: John L., Brent, and Loran Moss, Junior and Terry Parker, and Cody Howard. Honorary pallbearers: Josh Leming, Caleb and Shawn Parker, and Eric Moss.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 Monday evening at the Ivie Funeral Home, Andrews where the body will be until placed in the church 30 minutes prior to the services.
