J. C. HALL
J.C. Hall, 78, of Hayesville died Monday (Jan. 22, 2007) at his residence. A native of Towns County, GA, he had lived in Clay County most of his life. He was the son of the late William Leonard and Edna Foster Hall. He was a carpenter and later retired from the NC Dept. of Transportation. He was a 50 year member of the Clay Masonic Lodge No. 301 and a member of the Woods Grove Baptist Church.
J.C. was preceded in death by a daughter, Jeanette Hall and a brother, Albert Edward Hall.
Surviving are his wife of 60 years, Marie Ensley Hall; two daughters, Annette Cooke and Nancy Cody both of Hayesville; four grandchildren, Christy Cooke, Angie Martin, Lynae Cody Cheeks, and Kyle Cody; and three great grandchildren, Brittany and Bryce Martin, and Karli Cheeks.
Funeral services at 11:00 AM Wednesday (Jan. 24) in the Woods Grove Baptist Church with the Revs. Danny Burch and Kyle Cody officiating. Burial in the church cemetery. Pallbearers: Ross Marshall, Jerry Harrington, J.D. Ledford, Charlie Cheeks, Morris Neal, and Phil Jones.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 Tuesday evening at the Ivie Funeral Home, Hayesville where the body will be until placed in the church 30 minutes prior to the services.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made in memory of J.C. Hall to the Woods Grove Cemetery Fund, c/o Jerry Kendall, 1700 Kendall Road, Young Harris, GA 30582.
