TERESA  LYNN  PALMER LANEY

Teresa Lynn Palmer Laney, 43, of Murphy went home to be with the Lord Thursday (Jan. 18, 2007) at her residence.  A native and lifelong resident of Cherokee County, she was the daughter of Meredith Decker Palmer of Murphy and the late Walter Palmer.  She had worked at King’s Pharmacy as a pharmacy technician.  Teresa was a member of Maltby Baptist Church and was loved by all.

Surviving, in addition to her mother, are her husband, Mark Laney; a daughter, Whitney Laney of the home;  a son, Luke Laney of the home;  and three brothers, Jeff Palmer and Jamie Palmer and wife, Melissa all of Murphy, and Joel Palmer and wife, Tammy of Blairsville, GA.
 
Funeral services at 2:00 PM Sunday (Jan. 21) in the Chapel of Ivie Funeral Home, Murphy with the Revs. Ronnie Palmer, Carroll Roper, and Kenny White officiating.  Interment in Maltby Baptist Church Cemetery with the Rev. Harold Stiles officiating.  Pallbearers: Reggie Pendley, Adam Fleming, Darrell Laney, Isaac Boring, Casey Conley, and Jimmy Totherow.  Honorary pallbearers:  Paul Mathis and Ed Bower.
 
The family will receive friends from 6-8 Saturday evening at the Ivie Funeral Home, Murphy.
 
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made in memory of Teresa Lynn Palmer Laney to the Gideons International, PO Box 164, Murphy, NC 28906.
