ANNIE GRIFFITH

Annie Griffith, 92, of Andrews died Friday (January 25, 2008) in an Andrews care center. A native of Graham County, NC, she had been living in Cherokee County for the past 32 years. She was the daughter of the late Dee and Amanda Stratton Jordan and the wife of the late W.C. Griffith, who died November 26, 1976. She was a homemaker and a member of Marble Springs Baptist Church.
She was also preceded in death by four sisters, Fannie Walsh, Winnie Black, Millie Moss, and Vonell Bennett; and six brothers, Ted, Frank, Clyde, Hardy, Ed, and Ross Jordan.
Surviving are a daughter, Shirley Deyton and husband, Gordon of Marble; a brother, Dillard Jordan of Robbinsville, NC; a granddaughter, Kathy Triplett and husband, Tom of Hickory, NC; a grandson, Kent Aldridge and wife, Paula of Marion, NC; and a great grandson, Mitchell Aldridge of Marion.
Funeral services at 2:00 PM Sunday (Jan. 27) in the Chapel of the Ivie Funeral Home, Andrews with Rev. Jeff Maynard officiating. Interment in Valleytown Cemetery. Pallbearers: Neil McKeehan, Leonard and Joe West, Paul Revis, Mose Mays, and Roger Holloway.
The family will receive friends from 12:30-1:45 Sunday afternoon at the Ivie Funeral Home, Andrews prior to the services.
