ETHEL JOYCE MOORE DOCKERY


Ethel Joyce Moore Dockery, 73, of Murphy died Wednesday (Jan. 23, 2008) in a Murphy care facility. A native and lifelong resident of Cherokee County, she was the daughter of the late Clifton H. and Bessie A. Carroll Kephart and the wife of the late Olen J. Moore, who died Nov. 22, 1978 and James Walter Dockery, who died June 24, 2001. She was a retired bookkeeper with the Cherokee County Board of Education. Joyce was a member of the Peachtree Memorial Baptist Church.


Surviving are a son, Danny Moore and fiancée, Regina Marlana Maney of Murphy;  and a brother, Ray Kephart of Lexington, KY.
 
Funeral services at 2:00 PM Saturday (Jan. 26) in the Chapel of the Ivie Funeral Home, Murphy with Dr. Chester Jones officiating. Interment in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers:  Jodie McRae, Andrew Maney, Ray Amos, Shane Hughes, and Larry and Lonnie Mintz.
 
The family will receive friends from 12:00-1:45 Saturday afternoon at the Ivie Funeral Home, Murphy prior to the services.
