MARIE HALL

Marie Hall, 78, of Hayesville died Sunday (Jan. 6, 2008) in a Chatuge Regional care center.  A native of Clayton Co., GA, she had lived in Hayesville for most of her life. She was the daughter of the late Floyd R. and Alma E. Sampson Ensley and the wife of the late J.C. Hall, who died Jan. 22, 2007.  She had worked as a floor supervisor for Carolina Dress and as a clerk for Town and Country Pharmacy and had also worked for ACI.  Marie was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star Hayesville Chapter 11 and the Woods Grove Baptist Church where she served as Sunday School teacher and choir member.
 
She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Jeanette Hall.
 
Surviving are two daughters, Annette Cooke and Nancy Cody both of Hayesville;  a sister, Martha Abernathy of Alpharetta, GA;  a brother, Jerry Ensley of Lawrenceville, GA;  four grandchildren, Christy Cooke, Angie Martin, Lynae Cheeks, and Kyle Cody;  and three great grandchildren, Brittany and Bryce Martin, and Karli Cheeks.
 
Funeral services at 11:00 AM Tuesday (Jan. 8) in the Woods Grove Baptist Church with the Revs. Danny Burch and Kyle Cody officiating. Interment in the church cemetery. Pallbearers:  Charlie Cheeks, Jerry Herrington, Phil Jones, Jerry Kandall, J.D. Ledford, and Morris Neal.
 
The family will receive friends from 6-8 Monday evening at the Ivie Funeral Home, Hayesville where the body will be until placed in the church 30 minutes prior to the services.
 
The family requests memorials be made in memory of Marie Hall to the Alzheimer’s Association, Western Carolina Chapter, Mountain Region Office, 31 College Place, Suite D320, Asheville, NC 28801-2644 or the Gideons International, PO Box 164, Murphy, NC 28906.
