MAE WILSON

Mae Wilson, 95, of Andrews died Saturday (Jan. 19, 2008) in a Murphy medical center. A native and lifetime resident of Cherokee County, she was the daughter of the late Samuel and Clara Derreberry Postell and the wife of the late Charles E. Wilson, who died Nov. 25, 2003. She was a homemaker and was happiest working in her flower garden and she loved music. Mae was a member of the Red Marble Baptist Church.

Surviving are a daughter, Brenda Maxine Kelly of Graham, NC; two sons, Doyle Wilson of Andrews and Charles Randy Wilson of Rockingham, NC;  a sister, Hazel Woody of Andrews;  a brother, Donald Postell of Hayesville;  and 15 grandchildren, 34 great grandchildren, and 11 great great grandchildren.
 
Funeral services at 11:00 AM Monday (Jan. 21) in the Chapel of the Ivie Funeral Home, Andrews with Revs. Homer Wilson, Carl Roper, and Mickey Stewart officiating. Interment in the Red Marble Baptist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers:  H. F. and Dewey Forbes, Scott Wilson, Jeff Postell, and Darren and Rodney Kelly.
 
The family will receive friends from 4-6 Sunday afternoon at the Ivie Funeral Home, Andrews.
