SUSIE  COTHREN
 

Susie Cothren, 60, of Marble died Wednesday (Jan. 2, 2008) at her residence.  A native of Jackson County, she had lived in Cherokee County most of her life.  She was the daughter of the late Joe and Luzene Will Rattler.  She was a retired CNA, having worked at District Memorial Hospital and Murphy Medical Center.  Susie was a member of the Oak View Baptist Church in Hayesville.  Her hobbies included fishing and picnicking. Susie also loved her little dog, Yonah.
 
Surviving are her husband, Tony A. Cothren;  three step-sons, Tony Len Cothren and Michael Cothren both of Hayesville, and James Cothren of Hiawassee, GA;  two sisters, Lucille Brendle and Bea Cubster both of Murphy;  and three step-grandchildren.
 
Funeral services at 3:00 PM Friday (Jan. 4) in the Oak View Baptist Church with the Rev. Aud Brown officiating.  Interment in the church cemetery.  Pallbearers:  Steve, David, Rex, Daniel, and Alex Cothren, and Dwight Moss.
 
The family will receive friends from 6-8 Thursday evening at the Ivie Funeral Home, Murphy where the body will be until placed in the church after visitation.
 
The family requests memorials be made in memory of Susie Cothren to Tony A. Cothren for any medical bills, 1252 Old Peachtree Road, Marble, NC 28905.
