ELMA BRECHBILL

Elma Brechbill, 73, of Hayesville died Saturday (July 14, 2007) in a Towns County, GA hospital. A native of Acme, PA, she had lived in East Canton and Tallmadge, OH before moving to Clay County 12 years ago. She was the daughter of the late Edward C. and Pearl Shaffer Krepps. Elma was a homemaker and farmer and shared her harvest with others.  She was a member of the Tallmadge United Methodist Church, but was an active participant of the Oak Forest United Methodist Church.  She served on many committees and projects.
 
She was preceded in death by a sister, Violet Tomb.
 
Surviving are her husband of 52 years, Glenn Brechbill;  two daughters, Susie Brechbill of Hayesville and Patsy Brechbill of Akron, OH;  a son, Billy Brechbill and wife, Robin of Hayesville;  three brothers, Floyd Krepps of Augusta, GA, and Duane and Ron Krepps both of Acme, PA;  two grandchildren, Amanda Ulmer and husband, Shain and Joseph Brechbill; and a great grandson, Leo Ulmer.
 
Funeral services at 2:00 PM Tuesday (July 17) in the Oak Forest United Methodist Church with the Revs. Jacob Kyker and Guinnell Hunter officiating.  Interment in the church cemetery.  Pallbearers: Floyd Phillips, Robert Storring, David Krepps, Scott Forbes, Wayne Stafford, and Bill Keen.
 
The family will receive friends from 12-1:45 Tuesday afternoon at the Oak Forest United Methodist Church prior to the services.
 
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made in memory of Elma Brechbill to the Oak Forest United Methodist Church Building Fund, PO Box 152, Hayesville, NC 28904.
