VICTOR NORTHWAY

Victor Northway, 81, of Murphy died Sunday (July 22, 2007) in a Murphy medical center after an extended illness. A native of Detroit, MI, he had lived in Piscataway, NJ before moving to Murphy in 1995. He was the son of the late Leo and Alice Dasen Northway. He had been a tool and dye maker for 50 years before retiring. He loved fishing, woodworking, and boating on Lake Chatuge.
Surviving are his wife of 22 years, Barbara Northway; two daughters, Gail Northway of Burlington, VT and Linda Nicolazzi of New Brunswick, NJ; a son, Victor Northway and wife, Robin of Philipsburg, NJ; a brother, Harry Northway of Jamesville, NY; two grandsons, Victor and Todd Northway; a sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Cheryl and Carl Schneider of Sarasota, FL; and many other friends and family.
Funeral services at 4:00 PM Tuesday (July 24) in the Chapel of the Ivie Funeral Home, Murphy with Rev. John J. Barone officiating.
The family will receive friends from 1:00-3:45 Tuesday afternoon at the Ivie Funeral Home, Murphy prior to the services.
